A “wow-effect” parquet that blends design and performance
A challenging and rewarding project, the sports hall of Spilimbergo (PN) has been completely transformed with a unique sports floor that combines the charm of a historic surface with a bold new vision of design and functionality.
The original parquet, with 35 years of history, was made of Cabreuva Incenso, a medium-toned wood rarely used in sports flooring, and featured Wengé inlays, one of the darkest wood species. The uniqueness of this context required high-precision craftsmanship.
After a deep sanding process, the court was prepared for full whitening, with an intensified effect inside the three-point arc — creating a bright, elegant base that brings out every detail. In contrast, the colored zones were finished with a bold aviation blue, an innovative choice that gives the court striking visual impact. Everything was completed with black line markings, which define and elevate the court’s overall layout.
Beneath the hoop, a special touch: the name of the city, written in NCAA style, adds an iconic identity to the floor.
This is more than a sports surface — it’s a work of art that unites tradition and innovation.
And the result? Simply breathtaking. And the result? Simply breathtaking.
